The Great American Bash (2004) was the 15th Great American Bash professional wrestling pay-per-view event, and the first produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. The event, presented by Subway, took place on June 27, 2004 at the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia and was a SmackDown! brand-exclusive event. The main event was a Handicap match between The Dudley Boyz and The Undertaker. One of the featured matches on the undercard was a Texas Bullrope match for the WWE Championship between John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL) and champion Eddie Guerrero. Another primary match on the undercard was Rey Mysterio versus Chavo Guerrero for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

The Great American Bash (1991) took place on July 14, 1991 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The card was originally to be highlighted by a Steel cage match between Ric Flair and Lex Luger for the WCW World title. Two weeks before the show, WCW Executive VP Jim Herd fired Flair over a contract dispute, stripping him of the title. Flair took possession of the WCW World title and brought it to the World Wrestling Federation with him. A new belt could not be readied in time for the event, so the company was forced to improvise. A Championship Wrestling title belt that was in the possession of Dusty Rhodes was used and a metal plate with "WCW World Heavyweight Champion" was attached to the front. The main event ended up being WCW US Champ Lex Luger vs Varry Windham for the WCW World Title. On the undercard was a match featuring Steve Austin & Terry Taylor versus Bobby Eaton & P.N. News in a Capture-The-Flag scaffold match, which was Austin's first PPV match.

The main event was Jeff Jarrett defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Kevin Nash with Ernest Miller as the special guest enforcer. Also on the card was Sting vs Vampiro in a Human Torch match, Ric Flair vs David Flair, Hollywood Hogan vs Billy Kidman, Rick Steiner & Tank Abbott vs Scott Steiner in a Handicap Asylum match, Shane Douglas vs The Wall in a Best of 5 Tables match, Shawn Stasiak vs GI Bro in a Boot Camp match, Mike Awesome vs DDP in an Ambulance match, KroniK vs The Mamalukes, and Lt. Loco defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Disqo. Some of the matches from this event was used as a green screen stock footage for a 'Newsflash' segment on Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

It took place on August 20, 2006 at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and featured performers from the Raw, SmackDown!, and ECW brands. This marked the first inter-brand pay-per-view to feature the ECW brand. The main match on the Raw brand was Edge versus John Cena for the WWE Championship. The featured match on the SmackDown! brand was King Booker versus Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. The primary match on the ECW brand was The Big Show versus Sabu in an Extreme rules match for the ECW World Championship. The featured matches on the undercard included D-Generation X (Triple H and Shawn Michaels) versus Vince and Shane McMahon) and Hulk Hogan versus Randy Orton.
